The day
The Paklenis work best in the morning, before the taxi boats arrive from Hvar. The crew picks the bay by the wind — Vinogradišće on the south side, or a quieter anchorage the tour boats skip — drops anchor, and the first half of the day is snorkelling, floating and doing very little.
Lunch is at a konoba the crew books ahead, either on Palmižana or across the water in Hvar town. Then the afternoon is yours in Hvar: the Spanish fortress climb, the Riva, gelato, people-watching — the crew will point you right and wait at the quay.
Because the boat is private, the ratio is yours to set: more beach and less town, or the other way around.

How long is the boat ride from Split to Hvar?
About an hour by speedboat in normal conditions. The Pakleni Islands sit just in front of Hvar town, so the two combine naturally into one day.

The crew decides on the day, based on wind and crowds. Vinogradišće bay on Palmižana is the classic; when it is busy there are quieter anchorages a few minutes away that only locals use.
Do we get time in Hvar town itself?
Yes — usually two to three hours in the afternoon, longer if you prefer town over beach. Enough for the fortress viewpoint, a drink on the Riva and a wander through the old streets.
