Zlatni Rat is the beach on every Croatian postcard: a pebble spit that bends with the wind and current, turquoise on both sides. Arriving by sea means you swim it before the crowds ferry in — and leave the moment it fills up.
From Bol it is a short hop across the Hvar Channel to Jelsa, a relaxed harbour town built around one shaded square, where the crew books a konoba table ahead. Round it off in Vrboska, tucked into a narrow, fjord-like inlet full of stone bridges — locals call it little Venice.
Most tour boats run the same southern loop. This route takes you the other way: same islands, none of the queueing.

Hvar town is beautiful but busy. Jelsa and Vrboska sit on the island's quiet north coast — same wine, same stone streets, a fraction of the crowds. If you would rather see Hvar town, tell the crew and we adjust the route.
