Blue Lagoon & Island of Šolta

A full day built around water you have seen on postcards: the Blue Lagoon at Krknjaši — a sandbar-shallow stretch of turquoise between Drvenik Veli and two islets — paired with Šolta, the low-key island that Split locals keep for themselves. Short rides, long swims.

Blue Lagoon & Island of Šolta — private boat tour from Split

The route

Routes flex with wind and sea state — the crew plans the best version of this day, on the day.

The day

The lagoon comes first, early, when the water is glass and the sandbanks glow. Anchor, swim, snorkel — the shallows run waist-deep for a hundred metres, which makes it the best swim stop in the area for kids and non-swimmers alike.

Šolta is twenty minutes away and a world quieter. Maslinica, its prettiest harbour, curls around a row of stone houses and an eighteenth-century castle; the bays along the north shore hide konobas where lunch is slow on purpose. The crew books ahead and knows which bay is calm that day.

This is the least-driving, most-swimming full day we offer — ideal if the group cares more about water than mileage.

Highlights

  • The Blue Lagoon's sandbar shallows at their morning best
  • Maslinica — Šolta's castle harbour
  • Long konoba lunch in a quiet bay
  • Shortest rides of any full-day route

Questions about this tour

Where exactly is the Blue Lagoon near Split?

In Krknjaši bay on the east side of Drvenik Veli island, about 40 minutes by boat from Split. Two small islets close the bay into a lagoon of sandy shallows — that is where the colour comes from.

Is the Blue Lagoon good for children?

It is the best swim stop we have for kids: warm, calm and waist-deep over sand for a long way out. Combined with Šolta's short hops, this is our most family-friendly full day.

What is Šolta like compared to Hvar or Brač?

Smaller, slower and far less visited — olive groves, fishing harbours and locals' konobas rather than beach clubs. It is where people from Split go on their own day off.

Full day or half day — which Blue Lagoon tour should we pick?

If you mainly want the lagoon swim, the half-day version covers it. Take the full day if you want Šolta properly: Maslinica, a long lunch and a second or third bay without watching the clock.
